Senior Director, Clinical Implementation and Innovation

Jessica Greenwood joined Aspira in January 2021 as the Senior Director of Clinical Implementation and Innovation. Jessica’s role at Aspira is to bridge the gap between product development and clinical implementation. She works closely with the core science team to consider the future clinical application of products in the pipeline at each stage of development. She is also an integral part of our marketing team, providing clinical support and direction for the appropriate and innovative use of Aspira Women’s Health products in the field. Jessica brings to this role 15 years of experience in genetics and personalized medicine, both as a genetic counselor and an industry leader in the translation of novel genomic services and products into clinical use.

Prior to joining Aspira, Jessica was the owner of JessG Consulting, a consulting firm dedicated to helping clients deliver memorable messages of health to those they most want and need to reach. During her time as a consultant, Jessica worked with a variety of clients from provider groups like Oregon Reproductive Medicine to global corporations like MyHeritage, an ancestry and health direct-to-consumer testing company leading the industry in the development of polygenic risk scores for common medical conditions. Prior to forming her consulting firm, Jessica was the Lead Medical Science Liaison for Ariosa Diagnostics (acquired by Roche) where she built an international team of Medical Science Liaisons to support the Harmony Prenatal Test, one of the first non-invasive prenatal tests on the market. Jessica started her career as a genetic counselor at Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas Medical Center) where she provided pre-conception and prenatal genetic counseling and served as a genetic counselor for the elite Charlotte Fetal Care Center. Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University and a Master’s of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also completed the Certificate Program in Digital Health Communication at Tufts University School of Medicine.
